HOW DO OILS DIFFER FROM CREAM TREATMENTS?

In Europe women have been using good, or penetrating, oils as a primary agent to improving the condition of the skin. This is because the molecular structure of good oils is so fine they are more readily absorbed by the skin than any other treatment. Research has shown that oils go directly to the layers of the skin (basal & dermis) where there is glandular and cellular activity, whereas creams sit superficially on the skin. At the same time, oils act as a carrier for treatment creams. The oil should be the first layer to carry the benefits of not only the oil, but also the creams to the deeper skin levels.

Some experts recommend using an oil-based cleanser for oily skins. The logic here is that oil and water don’t mix. Instead the oil in the skin repels a watery product and it slips off. An oil-based product goes right into the sebaceous gland and balances it at the root. Due to the exceptional molecular structure of Rosehip Seed Oil it penetrates faster than any other oil and is thus regarded as a serum or “dry oil”. [An equivalent to Rosehip Seed Oil is Gevuina Avellana Oil which we use in our Anti-Oxidant and Sun Screen variant, Rosa Protégé.]

ROSA BRANDS AND ACNE

Active acne must be treated by a Dermatologist because the causes are far too complex and diverse for the lay person to comprehend and treat. HOWEVER, minor skin outbreaks may improve with regular use of Rosanique and Rosa for Men. This is because of the presence of Linoleic Acid (57%). Research has shown that Linoleic acid applied topically (not ingested) will improve problem skins. This is because Linoleic Acid (Omega 6) contains liposomes and nanoparticles that are able to store and transport sensitive substances, such as, Vitamin A which also supports acne prevention. Clinical studies show that specific liposomal concentrates without any additional active agents reduce the number of comedones (pimples) by more than 60% within a period of 28 days. Similarly, Linoleic Acid has sebum liquefying, keratosis-preventive, lightly sebum-suppressive, and regenerating effects. Several authors on the subject even describe an anti-bacterial effect regarding cases of mild and pronounced acne.

The presence of Trans Retinoic Acid (Active Vitamin A) without doubt will balance the skin over time and in the majority of cases completely heal skins prone to outbreaks.

Note: Rosanique & Rosa for Men both contain a low percentage of Oleic Acid which is tolerated by people who suffer from occasional outbreaks. Silhouette, however, has higher concentrations of Oleic Acid (it is firming and moisturising) and should be avoided by anyone who suffers from pimples or who has excessive sebaceous secretions.

ROSE ABSOLUTE

Rose Oil has no equal in skin care. It has a long history of its use in skin care preparations. It is suitable for all skin types, but it is especially valuable for dry, sensitive or aging skins. Some of the benefits are Calming & Soothing, Moisturising , Firming. Regenerative, Reduces broken superficial capillaries. (It has a tonic and astringent effect). Erythema (dilation of the capillaries due to sun burn, windburn or allergies). Antiseptic. Repairing.

If one considers that it takes 30 roses to produce one drop of rose oil it is important to ensure that the product contains the genuine rose oil. Either Rose Absolute or Rose Otto. Many people use synthetic or diluted rose oil that has no benefits whatsoever. Rosa Organics uses Rosa Centifolia in therapeutically determined ratios in both Rosanique and Silhouette with Rose.
